Our manager Steve has been here from the beginning. He oversees all the repairs in our shop, making sure that two sets of eyes look at each vehicle. With over 40 years of hands-on experience, his expertise is extremely broad. From the parts that make you go, to the parts that help you safely stop, if you hear a clunk, rattle, or squeal, chances are Steve can identify the problem and fix it right the first time.
Tom, our head of customer service, is the first face and warm hand that will greet you when you come in. Since 1979, he’s been turning wrenches, getting his hands dirty, and loving every minute of it. Tell him what you think is going on with your car—what things you’re seeing, hearing, smelling, and feeling that are different from before. Tom has earned the ASE Certification of Master Mechanic and Advanced Level 1 Diagnostics certification, so when you call to set up an appointment or to find out what it will take to fix your car, you can rest assured that he knows what he’s talking about.
Our mechanic Will has been working on cars since he was a kid, starting with dirt race cars, and continuing on for over 40 years. He has repaired engines, transmissions, and suspension systems for almost every make and model on the road. He also tackles the large projects at Big Bend Auto Center, including full size vans and commercial trucks. Whether you need a water pump or a whole engine replaced, Will is your guy.
Mike eats, drinks, and breathes cars. He has over 20 years experience in auto repair and maintenance. He has post-graduate training in all the latest diagnostic equipment including but not limited to oscilloscopes, thermal imaging, diagnostic scanners and many more. If you have a difficult issue that needs to be diagnosed on your vehicle, Mike is the person you want to find and solve that problem.
David is the owner, and believe it or not he is a PhD in Biology. Though he has mapped the genes of fruit flies at Washington University, started various biotech companies, and spent years at Sigma Aldrich, he has always had a passion for cars. Ever since he and his brother restored a 1970 Dodge Challenger in their backyard, he’s been fascinated, becoming a TA in his high school auto maintenance class, attending Ranken Tech’s auto technology program at night, and eventually choosing to make his passion his job. In addition to running the business, David is a hands-on member of the team, even making time for oil changes and tire repairs. But his favorite part is talking to the customers. He is constantly humbled by their loyalty and enjoys getting to know them.
